Meralco defeat TNT in Game Four, to enter PBA finals for the first time

The Meralco Bolts are in the PBA finals for the first time in franchise history following a 94-88 victory over the TNT KaTropa in Game 4 of the semifinals of 2016 Governors' Cup.

The Bolts joined the league back in 2010.

Four Meralco players wound up in double-digits led by Cliff Hodge with career-high 32 points on 12-of-19 shooting.

Import Allen Durham had 19 points and 16 rebounds, while Reynel Hugnatan finished with 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Chris Newsome contributed 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and a block for the Bolts.

Jayson Castro led TNT with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists with Ranidel De Ocampo adding 15. Troy Rosario and import Mychal Ammons tallied 10 points apiece.

Castro got ejected with still over two minutes to go after committing his second flagrant foul penalty 1, both against Newsome.
