Teacher March 2017 Board Exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the official results of March 2017 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) on Monday, May 22, 2017.

The examination was conducted by the PRC on March 26, 2017 in Manila, All Regional Offices; Zamboanga, Bacolod, Rosales, Pangasinan, General Santos City, Catarman, Northern Samar, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro and Puerto Princesa Palawan.

A total of 5,600 elementary teachers out of 53,915 examinees (10.39%) and 18,482 secondary teachers out of 72,584 examinees (25.46%) passed the March 2017 Teacher Licensure Examination, according to PRC (via PRC Website).

Topnotchers: March 2017 Elementary and Secondary Levels Teacher Licensure Examination

SAMANTHA CHRISTEL CHUA GAERLAN, a graduate from DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY-MANILA, ranked first in the Elementary Level March 2017 Teacher Licensure Examination with a rating of 90.60 percent.

MARIAN KAYE FORTINEZ GALLEGO, a graduate from UNIVERSITY OF MINDANAO-DAVAO CITY ranked first in the Secondary Level March 2017 Teacher Licensure Examination with a rating of 92.80 percent.

Performance of Schools in March 2017 Licensure Examination for Teachers (Elementary and Secondary Levels)

Elementary Teacher board exam covered the following subjects: DAY 1 - General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%).

Secondary Teacher board exam covered the following subjects: DAY 1 - General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The Board for Professional Teachers who administered the Teacher Board Exam are Dr. Rosita L. Navarro as Chairman, with members namely Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be from May 29 to May 30, 2017 for Elementary Level and May 31 to June 16, 2017 for Secondary Level. will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
  • 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag)
  • 2 sets of metered documentary stamps

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the mass oathtaking of the successful examinees in the February 2017 Physician Licensure Examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.

During the last examination conducted last September 2016, a total of 23,378 elementary teachers out of 77,466 examinees (30.18%) and 31,334 secondary teachers out of 92,754 examinees (33.78%) passed the board exam, PRC announced.
