Live Stream: 2017 SEA Games to held its opening ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on August 19

The opening ceremony of the 29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), branded as Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL 2017), will be on August 19, 2017 in the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Malaysia.

The national stadium can accommodate an approximately 80,00 of people and will warmly welcome the fans of the 4,888 athletes of 11 countries that will compete starting on August 19 until August 30 in the SEA Games’ 39 sport categories and 404 events.

Nauraj Singh Randhawa, national high jumper has been chosen to read the athlete's oath in the said ceremony.

Few reminders are given for those who will watch the ceremony in the stadium that several things including cigarettes, knives and firecrackers; snacks such as melon seeds and peanuts; air horns, scissors, umbrellas, and helmets; canned and bottled drinks which will be prohibited inside the venue.

On the other hand, sale of tickets of the events namely badminton, gymnastics, karate, taekwondo, netball and aquatics has started on July 4 while the rest are free for fans to be watched.

The Games will be celebrated together with Malaysia's 60th Independence Day as well as Malaysia Day, thus, KL 2017 will be the sixth time that Malaysia hosts the biennial games.
