Cruz hits 8 3-pointers to lead Chooks-to-Go over Mono Vampire (Video Highlights)

Carl Bryan Cruz scored 28 points and made eight three-pointers as the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas defeated the Mono Vampire Basketball Club of Thailand 115-102 on Sunday, September 24 in Chenzhou, China.

Isaiah Austin, who picked up a leg injury in Saturday's game against the Palestine, was able to play and tallied 27 points, 19 rebounds, and four blocks.

Kiefer Ravena continued his impressive play with team Philippines, scoring 24 points and seven assists.

With 21.6% average from three-point in their first two games, Chooks-to-Go finished with 50%, hitting 14 of their 28 attempts against Mono Vampire.

With the victory, the Philippines improved to 2-1 in Group A of 2017 FIBA Asia Championship Cup.

Mono Vampire, who dropped to 1-2 record in the competition, was led by import Mike Singletary with 32 points.
