Magnitude 7.6 earthquake hits north of Honduras, tsunami alert issued

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 has struck north of Honduras in the Caribbean Sea at 02:51 UTC on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 (10:51 AM, in Philippines).

The epicentre was about 44km E of Great Swan Island, Honduras and at a depth of 10.0 km, the United States Geological Survey said.


The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami alert for Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. Check the details below.
