Hollywood actor Brad Pitt was signing autographs when an infamous prankster Vitalii Sediuk attacked and punched him at the Hollywood premier of “Maleficent,” starring his partner Angelina Jolie.
Brad Pitt was at the premiere at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater on Wednesday night when Sediuk, a Ukrainian journalist and pesky prankster, jumped over a barrier on to the red carpet and rush at Pitt and hit him in the face, police told KTLA.
The actor was not seriously hurt and the Associated Press reports that he resumed signing autographs after the attack.
Sediuk was arrested for misdemeanor battery. He is now held pending payment of $20,000 bail, the Times reports.

Sediuk has been involved in previous red carpet controversies. He allegedly attempted to crawl under actress America Ferrera’s gown at the premiere of “How to Train Your Dragon 2” at the Cannes Film Festival in southern France earlier this month.
In January of this year, “American Hustle” actor Bradley Cooper was surprised when Sediuk knelt and hugged him around his waist, creating an obviously uncomfortable situation.
Sediuk also hugged actor Leonardo DiCarpio around the knees at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in February.
In 2012, the serial red carpet pest angrily slapped on the face by Will Smith after Sediuk tried to kiss him on the lips on the red carpet at the “Men In Black 3” premier.
