Compton, Sonny Thoss and Jayvee Casio's statement on painful losses against Rain or Shine:

"Yung 51 points hindi ko iniisip. Ang iniisip ko, yung natalo kami sa kanila sa semis," Compton told sportswriters in an interview.

"I’ll take the 51-point loss in the elimination, but you’ve got to win the championship. If that’s the answer, okay lang. Elimination games don’t mean anything. The important thing is these guys now play to get the championship," Alaska mentor added.

"I’m sure everybody remembers that. They’re a tough team. We need to come out and focus again in the coming best-of-seven series," Thoss said.

"Tapos na yun. We’re here and we’re going to prepare hard against Rain or Shine," Casio added. (via interaksyon.com)

Casio, Alaska Aces point guard, statement on heartbreaking moment last Governor's Cup against RoS and thoughts about the series:

"Tapos na iyun (Governors Cup semis last season). It’s really this conference (that matters). Being here (in the Philippine Cup semifinals), we got to prepare hard kasi gusto din naming manalo."

"Pano pa kaya pag napunta na kami ng series? So ibibigay namin ng buo para makapunta kami sa championship."

"Mas hihigpitan pa namin yung depensa namin kasi maraming shooter sa kanila kaya pagtutulungan namin yun. Yung limang naglalaro sa loob, di bibitaw at yung defense, dapat andun."
