El Gamma Penumbra wins first Asia's Got Talent, Gerphil Flores places 3rd

The El Gamma Penumbra emerged as the first-ever winner of the first Asia's Got Talent on Thursday, May 14, 2015.

The shadow play group from Tanauan City, Batangas beat eight other finalists, including three other Philippine acts - classical singer Gerphil Geraldine Flores, dance group Junior New System and 10-year-old singer Gwyneth Dorado.

As the winner of the first-ever season of Asia’s Got Talent, El Gamma Penumbra will receive a cash prize of US $100,000 or an estimated ₱4,450,000.00 and a chance to perform at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Khusugtun, a traditional music ensemble from Mongolia, placed second in the competition.

Finalist have performed together for opening act.

Charice and grand illusionist Cosentino (Australia's Got Talent season 5 runner-up) performed in the results night, with the judges covering their own version of "Let's Groove" by Earth, Wind & Fire.

Asia's Got Talent is hosted by Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez while the judges are Grammy-winning musician David Foster, Taiwanese-American pop idol Vanness Wu, former Spice Girl Melanie C., and Indonesian rock icon Anggun.
