The Philippine National Basketball Team, Gilas Pilipinas Cadets is aiming to notch its 17th gold medal in the basketball men’s event in the upcoming 2015 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games from June 5 to June 16, 2015.
The basketball competition will begin on June 9 and Gilas Cadets will try to continue their winning streak against SEA Games member-countries.

Originally, Bobby “Ray” Parks Jr. was included in the lineup along with Arnold Van Opstal, but they have been replaced by Amer and Rivero due to injuries (via cnnphilippines.com).
There were reports, however, that Parks is forced to not join the team as he is set to leave for the United States to try his luck in the NBA anew (via interaksyon.com).
Philippines is in Group A along with the Malaysia, Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
The men's basketball team will kick-off their campaign against the Indonesia on June 10.
