Gilas Pilipinas once again ruled in the Southeast Asian region as they win the gold medal of the Basketball event in 29th SEA Games 2017 after beating Indonesia, 94-55, on Saturday night, August 26 behind a full house at the MABA Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Philippine national men's baskeball team won its 18th SEA Games basketball gold and asserted its supremacy over its close neighbors.
Mike Tolomia finished with 20 points on 5-of-8 from three-point range to lead the way for Gilas and Kobe Paras had 14 points including highlight plays Raymar Jose had 12 points, while Bobby Ray Parks collared 12 boards in the gold medal match.
Raymar Jose added 12 points along with Christian Standhardinger who had 11 points and 5 rebounds.
Veteran guard Kiefer Ravena who finished the match with 7 points made history with a record fourth basketball gold medal in the SEA Games, surpassing former PBA player Romel Adducul.
It was also the third SEA Games golds for Ray Parks and Kevin Ferrer.
