Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas lost to Petrochimi 66-85 and dropped to third seed in Group A of the 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup on Tuesday, September 26.
The Philippine team will move on to the Quarterfinals. They will face the host and Group B second seed China Kashgar, who will have Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player Andray Blatche, on Thursday, September 28.
Isaiah Austin paced Chooks-to-Go with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Kiefer Ravena added 20 in the losing effort.
Former LA Clipper Willie Warren had a game-high 30 points to lead Iran.
Arsalan Kazemi and Meisam Mirzaei had 18 and 11 rebounds, respectively, as Petrochimi dominated the inside game. The Iranian team grabbed a total of 54 rebounds compare to 37 of Philippines.
Petrochimi, who finished second in Group A, will play the Group B third seed Taipei Dacin Tigers.
