Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas experienced its first loss in the 2017 FIBA Asia Championship Cup as they fail to beat Palestine club Sareyyet Ramallah 89-92 on Saturday, September 23 in Chenzou, China.
The Philippines struggled to 63 combined points of Palestine’s Jamal Abu-Shamalah with 21 points and 12 rebounds, imports Todd O’Brien, who recorded 20 points and 11 rebounds and Anthony Weeden scoring a team high of 22 markers throughout the game.
On the other hand, Keifer Ravena led Chooks-to-Go with a game-high of 24 points alongside Jeron Teng with 18.
Isaiah Austin, who failed to play the whole game because of an apparent leg injury, finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
Furthermore, the team also failed to dominate Sarreyet Ramallah from downtown after just being able to shoot five out of 28 attempts compared to Palestine making 10 out of 26 attempts.
Chooks-to-Go team is now tied at 1-1 win-loss record in the tournament with Palestine team after Thailand's Mono Vampire team defeated them on Friday, September 22.
