Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas will shoot for its second win in Group A of the 2017 FIBA Asia Championship Cup on Saturday, September 23, when it battles Sareyyet Ramallah of Palestine in Chenzhou, China.
The Philippines opened their campaign with a come-from-behind win against BC Astana of Kazakhstan, 73-65, on Friday. Trailing 43-35 at the half, Chooks-to-Go outscored BC Astana 22-12 in the decisive third quarter to take control of the game.
Kiefer Ravena led the way with 22 points while Import Isaiah Austin added 17 points, 18 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Sareyyet Ramallah, in contrast, was defeated by Mono Vampire of Thailand 102-100 in overtime in their opening game.
Todd O'Brien, who had experienced playing in Russia, Lebanon and Latvia, scored 24 points and grabbed 16 boards in the loss for Palestinian squad.
The game between Philippines and Palestine is scheduled to start at approximately 4:45 pm (Manila time), and it can be live-streamed at Sports5.ph.
