The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the official results of October 2017 Chemist Licensure Examination on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.
The examination was conducted by the PRC on October 10 and 11 in the cities of Manila, Cagayan De Oro and Cebu.
A total of 526 out of 1,195 examinees passed the October 2017 Chemist Board Exam, according to PRC (via PRC Website).

GIO FERSON MALIKSI BAUTISTA, a graduate of UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES-LOS BAÑOS, ranked first in the October 2017 Chemist Board Exam with a rating of 93.00 percent.

Performance of Schools in October 2017 Chemist Licensure Examination
With 50 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage, UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES-DILIMAN emerged as the top performing school in the October 2017 Chemist Board Exam as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010, with 87.93% passing percentage or 51 out of 58 examinees passed the exam.
The Board of Chemistry who administered the October 2017 Chemist Board Exam are Ms. Adoracion P. Resurreccion as Chairman and members namely Ms. Soledad S. Castañeda and Ms. Ma. Theresa C. Cayton.
From October 23 to October 24, 2017, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- Notice of admission
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag)
- 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
As per PRC, those who failed to pass the board examination for Chemist but had obtained a rating of at least 70% in any two (2) subjects can register as Chemical Technician.
The date and venue for the mass oathtaking of the successful examinees in the October 2017 Chemist Licensure Examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
During the last examination conducted last October 2016, a total of 559 out of 1,019 examinees passed the Chemist board exam, PRC announced.
MIKEL JASON DE GUZMAN ALLAS topped the October 2016 Chemist Board Exam with a rating of 93.50%.
