The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the official results of September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
The examination was conducted by the PRC on September 28 and 29 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao and Lucena.
A total of 3,517 out of 5,098 examinees passed the September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Board Exam, according to PRC (via PRC Website).

Performance of Schools in September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination
With 50 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage, UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES-DILIMAN emerged as the top performing school in the September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Board Exam as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010, with 96.15% passing percentage or 50 out of 52 examinees passed the exam.
Mechanical Engineer board exam covered the following subjects: DAY 1 - Industrial and Power Plant Engineering (35%); DAY 2 - Mathematics, Engineering Economics and Basic Engineering Services (35%) and Machine Design, Materials and Shop Practice (30%).
The Board of Mechanical Engineering who administered the September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Board Exam are Engr. Jesus M. Redelosa as Chairman and member namely Engr. Fernando S. Guevara and Engr. Mirardo C. Malazarte, Jr.
From October 10 to October 13, 2017, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- Notice of admission
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- 2 pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag)
- 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the mass oathtaking of the successful examinees in the September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
During the last examination conducted last March 2017, a total of 1,083 out of 1,904 examinees passed the Mechanical Engineer board exam, PRC announced.
BRYLLE PAHIMUTANG GILBUENA topped the March 2017 Mechanical Engineer Board Exam with a rating of 88.10%.
