The San Miguel Beermen cemented its place in PBA history, winning their fourth straight Philippine Cup title with a 108-99 double-overtime come-from-behind victory over the Magnolia Hotshots in Game 5 of their best-of-sever series at the Mall of Asia Arena Friday, April 6.
June Mar Fajardo’s monstrous 42-point, 20-rebound led the Beermen overcame and bagged the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup crown.
Arwind Santos had 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks while Marcio Lassiter added 16 points.
Chris Ross tallied near quadruple-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and eight steals.
The Hotshots, who had a strong start and had a lead 71-48 in the third period, was led by Paul Lee. He finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Rome Dela Rosa added 19 points and 11 boards in the loss.
